In a bizarre collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
